Director and Clinical Psychologist

Dimitra is a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience working extensively with adults, adolescents, and couples. Previously employed as a Senior Clinical Psychologist for 10 years at one of Melbourne’s most recognized private mental health facilities, providing group and individual therapy alongside management of the adult inpatient and day patient teams.

She is currently, working in private practice since 2011 and has specific interest in working with patients with mood disorders, personality disorders and trauma. Dimitra has had extensive experience working with mothers and couples regarding pre- and post-natal issues and support couples facing interpersonal difficulties.

Dimitra has had experience in clinical assessments and use an integrative approach drawing on a variety of psychotherapeutic methods such as, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Interpersonal and Systemic Approaches.

Dimitra works closely with patients to generate an understanding of their current issues and symptoms and endeavour to enable patients to build insight into their defense mechanisms and the impact of their developmental history. Her aim is to assist patients to improve their quality of life and achieve their personal goals.  Dimitra is also a registered clinical supervisor providing supervision for clinical endorsement.

Dr Rebecca Dredge
Dr Rebecca Dredge
Director and Clinical Psychologist

Rebecca is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a broad experience working with individuals suffering a variety of mental health concerns in both community and inpatient/outpatient settings. She works with adults and adolescents experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, personality disorders, stress and trauma.

Rebecca also has extensive experience and training working with individuals suffering from addiction and she uses a number of therapeutic approaches to support these clients including motivational interviewing.

Rebecca has specialised experience in clinical assessment and training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, and Emotion Focused Therapy. She works alongside the client to reflect on the impact of their history on what’s happening for them now in order to improve insight and achieve personal goals.

Rebecca is also trained in the Gottman Method for couples and offers couples relationship therapy at any stage in a relationship. Session goals will depend on what the relationship needs and can include repairing the relationship, creating an environment to foster productive communication, or to end the relationship with extra support.

Victoria Veldhuizen
General Psychologist

Victoria is a general psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with adults and children with a range of interpersonal difficulties, providing both group and individual therapy.

 

She has extensive experience in working with adults with interpersonally harmful behaviour and personality disorders, as well as supporting adults and children experiencing stress, anxiety, depression and trauma.

 

Victoria draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

 

Her focus is to work transparently and collaboratively with clients to assist them in exploring and building insight into their difficulties, and to build on personal strengths to improve their quality of life and achieve personal goals.
